Warehousing, Inventory Management and Consolidation
The key to delivering success in the logistics industry is simplicity. Our work should be seamless, to ensure our clients experience the highest levels of service. To create a simplified and effective logistics package, warehousing, inventory management and consolidation systems are fundamental to achieving this. We have a secure, spacious and climate controlled distribution hub that receives goods from suppliers all over the world. Whether they are parcels, pallets or in containers our trained staff in our goods receiving department inspect incoming shipments for quantity and quality, performing either sampling or complete count checking, as determined by the client. PPM Projects keeps a 24-hour cycle period open for incoming deliveries to accommodate crucial components to be despatched to fit into time-condensed windows. We keep our facility open to ensure our clients projects run on their clock. Once the agreed unloading or decanting processes are complete, goods are transported to an appropriate storage location. With a variety of racking configurations and shelving areas available, we are able to store articles of widely varying dimensions and weights securely. Our Warehouse Management System (WMS) takes care of the put-away process and provides real-time stock management data as items move through the warehouse, through the picking zone and to dispatch.
Picking and Dispatch
Storage and the receiving of materials is only one element in the cycle. We ensure that stock is picked and prepared for transport to the project site at just the right time. As well as the order fulfilment function, our warehouse team can perform a variety of value-added services, a process that again simplifies and adds quality to all projects we undertake. These services include: • Repackaging • Branding • Assembly as desired by the client All items are handled carefully to avoid damage, with special consideration given to any fragile or high-value products. Goods are then packaged appropriately for transport to site, with items placed into delivery vehicles in the correct sequence for efficient unloading on arrival. These details and intricacies are the fine lines that ensure our work is always focused on meeting the time constraints of our clients projects.
Delivery, Transport and On-site Services
With access to a comprehensive fleet of HGVs and vans, we will provide the optimum size of vehicle to suit a sites location and accessibility. The proximity of our warehouse to Central London ensures that even unscheduled orders from clients or their contractors can be fulfilled without incurring project delays. Flexibility and accessibility is key to any project. Our last-mile expertise extends to the purchase or hire of any specialised handling equipment required for the on-site logistics of each project. We will plan and supply sufficient labour to unload your goods safely, and transport them to the precise destination required on site. Our teams can unwrap and place items in position, as well as oversee any set-up procedures or simple assembly, all of which is part of our white glove delivery and installation service.

We understand that it can be anxious expecting the delivery and installation of such items, so we have made it our prerogative to take those nerves away from our customers. We give our clients the knowledge that all our ‘point of contact staff’ are all thoroughly trained and experienced. We contact our customers to arrange a convenient time of delivery, install the item and then remove all excess packaging and, if required we are more than happy to dispose of any items that are being replaced. A true white glove delivery is about the exceeding all expectations of the customer, and this is why we conduct questionnaires after each white glove delivery.
